I'm so glad you're here.

You deserve to love every single part of who you are. It's not always easy. Maybe it's been especially hard lately. Maybe there are past experiences that have damaged your sense of self-worth. Maybe you're suffocated by a society that tells you how you should look, behave, and love. Maybe you struggle with a sense of shame that makes it difficult to be radically, fully, unapologetically you. Somewhere along the way, you've gotten stuck. It's time to get unstuck. Let's figure this out together.

The most difficult step on the journey to mental health is realizing that you need a little help. If you're here, you've already accomplished that. Well done. The next step is finding a therapist who's a good fit for you. If you think that might be me, then please contact me for a free consultation. I really look forward to knowing you.

Get to Know Me

Hi! I'm Bonnie.

My pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate based in Austin, Texas. I am a neurodivergent, cisgender bisexual woman who is an active part of the LGBTQ+ community. I go beyond being LGBTQ-friendly – I am LGBTQ-competent, and I participate in continuing education to stay up-to-date on the issues affecting our community. I'm passionate about helping people of all identities live authentic and fulfilling lives.

My counseling style is warm, genuine, and relaxed. If you like to laugh during therapy, we will probably be a great fit. I strive to make therapy a comfortable space for you to explore yourself fully without fear of judgement. I want therapy to be the one hour a week when you can just let go and be yourself. I am especially passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community, neurodivergence (particularly autism and ADHD), body image & disordered eating, and trauma. I love working with both adolescents and adults.

If it sounds like I might be good fit for you, contact me to set up a free consultation. I'm so excited to meet you.

We may be a good fit if one or more of the topics below resonate with you.

Gender Identity

I am passionate about providing gender-affirming care to people of all gender identities. I create a safe space for transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming individuals to navigate their gender journeys while receiving unconditional support and guidance. I follow the WPATH standards of care to ensure that my gender-diverse clients feel safe and supported.  You shouldn't have to explain to your therapist what pronouns are.

As a member of The GALAP Movement, I do not believe in gatekeeping access to gender-affirmative care. If you are seeking a letter of support for a step along your gender journey, such as starting hormones or surgery, I will provide this free of charge with no obligation to attend ongoing therapy. Just contact me to get started.

Standard Session (50 mins)

This is the standard session length and my most popular service.

Extended Session (90 mins)

Do you feel like 50 minutes is just not enough time to say what you need to say? Do you need extra time to warm up at the beginning of the session before you feel comfortable enough to dive into the deep stuff? An extended session might be right for you.

When you prepay for 5 sessions, you'll only pay $110 per session and save $75!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your fees?

I charge $125 per 50-minute session and $175 per 90-minute session. You can save $75 when you prepay for a bundle of 5 sessions. If my fees are not affordable for you, please contact me anyway. I am able to offer some sliding-scale spots based on availability, or I can help match you to a provider who can meet your needs.

Do you take insurance?

I do not. However, I am happy to provide you with a superbill you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement.

Do you offer sliding-scale pricing?

I have a limited number of sliding-scale spots available. If you are interested in a sliding-scale spot, please contact me and let me know what you can afford. I am also happy to help connect you with other resources that may be a good fit for you.

How often should we meet?

I always recommend meeting weekly for at least the first four weeks. After that, we can reassess and decide whether biweekly or even monthly sessions would work best for you.

Can I book a consultation?

Absolutely! I offer free 15-minute initial consultations so we can see if we would be a good fit. Schedule your free consultation now.

Will we meet in person or virtually?

I am currently offering both in-person and virtual sessions. It's totally up to you. My physical office is located at 3355 Bee Caves Road, West Lake Hills, TX 78746. I can offer virtual services to anyone located in the state of Texas.

I live outside of Texas – can I still book a session?

Because I am licensed in Texas, I am only able to see clients located in the state of Texas. I can see clients anywhere in Texas virtually, but I cannot see anyone who is out of state.

What is an LPC Associate?

An LPC Associate is a licensed mental health professional who holds a master's degree in counseling, has passed the National Counselor Exam, and has completed a minimum of 700 hours of counseling experience before graduating. After graduating and becoming licensed, an LPC Associate must complete 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience – much like a doctor going through a residency. During the clinical supervision period, the Associate will meet with their supervisor once per week to (confidentially) discuss cases and receive extra guidance. When you're receiving therapy from an LPC Associate, you benefit not only from the Associate's knowledge and skills, but also from their supervisor's experience and expertise.
